Common issues and how to resolve them.

macOS

"Clace can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer"

Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click "Open Anyway".

App not appearing in menu bar

Check if Clace is running in Activity Monitor. If not, try launching it again from Applications.

Permission issues with screen recording or accessibility

Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording (or Accessibility) and ensure Clace is enabled.

Windows

Windows Defender blocking installation

Click "More info" on the SmartScreen popup, then click "Run anyway". The app is safe.

App not starting on boot

Open Clace settings and enable "Start on login", or add Clace to your startup apps manually.

General

Data not syncing

Check your internet connection. Clace stores data locally but needs connectivity for account sync.

High CPU or memory usage

This may occur during initial indexing. Usage should normalize after the first sync completes.
