Installation Guide
Get Clace up and running in minutes.
macOS
1. Download the appropriate version for your Mac:
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3): Download the arm64 version
- Intel Mac: Download the x64 version
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
3. Drag Clace to your Applications folder.
4. On first launch, you may need to allow the app in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
5. Clace will appear in your menu bar when running.
Windows
1. Download the Windows installer (.exe).
2. Run the installer and follow the prompts.
3. If Windows Defender SmartScreen appears, click "More info" then "Run anyway".
4. Clace will start automatically and appear in your system tray.
First Launch
After installation:
- Sign in with your account or create a new one
- Grant permissions for the apps you want Clace to access
- Clace will begin indexing your data locally
